How Flowers Can Help

Flower Essences In the early years of the 20th century, Dr. Edward Bach, an English physician, surgeon and homeopath, discovered Flower Essences. He was a pioneer in understanding the connection of our emotional bodies to our physical health.

Flower Essences, also called flower remedies, have been a growing segment of the natural health movement for over 50 years. They are credited with everything from relief of migraine headaches and grief, to stress reduction, courage, and optimism. Flower essences are part of the study of high frequency subtle energies, which includes homeopathy, aromatherapy, and energy work such as Reiki. As the link between body, mind and spirit gain more credence in modern society, Flower Essences offer a truly holistic approach in the search for peace, balance and optimal living.

Flower essences are not like other medicines. They do not contain active chemicals or possess pharmaceutical properties. They are best described as a sort of 'liquid energy', a vibrational remedy that brings about benefits by influencing each person's own life force. While some flower essences free us from negative moods and emotions, others go further, helping us recognize and let go of negative behavior patterns. The delicate blooms possess special qualities that can ease emotional distress, boost self-confidence, lift energy levels, increase resilience to all kinds of illnesses and even enrich our relationships. They also offer the perfect antidote to stress in its many different forms.
